Schaefer

Mary V. “Ginger” Schaefer, 56, of East Alton, Ill., died at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., on Thursday, Sept. 28, 2023. She was born on Nov. 20, 1966, in Wood River, the daughter of the late William Rowson Barnes and Joyce Irene Cummings. She married Michael A. Schaefer on July 1, 1989, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Livingston, and he survives.

She worked as a waitress at Country Inn Restaurant in Livingston for many years. She was a past member of the Moose Lodge of Edwardsville. She enjoyed working with crafts and crocheting.
