Every year Lions Club International presents a global Peace Poster Contest for youth ages 11, 12, or 13 years of age.
Dare to dream is the theme for 2023. Staunton Lions Club and the Staunton Public Library are teaming up this year to host the Peace Poster Contest in our area. We invite all area youth ages 11, 12, or 13 to participate in the fun.
Students have to be the required age level on Nov. 15, 2023, either attend a Staunton area school, or reside in the Staunton School District. This includes home schooling families living in the school district.
If you are interested, please call the Staunton Public Library for information or stop by and pick up a paper copy of contest rules and conditions. One entry per student please. Each entry must be the original work of the individual submitting their work for show.
The deadline to submit art work is Monday, Oct. 16, before 6 p.m. at the Staunton Public Library located at 206 West Main Street, Staunton.
The art show and judging wil begin Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 6 p.m. at the Staunton Public Library.
Dare to Dream for a better world without war, conflict, or hate is the message of the Lions Club International Peace Contest. It is the hope to dare to dream for a better world, not just for some but for everyone.
