2nd annual Fields of Faith in Staunton

Students from Staunton high school as well as other schools from around the area will join thousands of other youth on athletic fields across the nation on Wednesday, Oct. 11, to share their Christian faith with fellow students during the 18th annual National Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ (FCA, http://www.fca.org) Fields of Faith event. This rapidly growing, interdenominational outreach event will be held at more than 500 locations throughout the nation.

While most Christian events are held by adult speakers or sponsors, FCA’s Fields of Faith is a student-to-student ministry, which means that the students themselves will be involved with leading praise and worship as well as sharing their faith in Christ. Peers invite their own classmates and teammates to meet on their school’s athletic field to hear fellow students share their testimonies, challenge them to read the Bible, and come to faith in Jesus Christ. We will have free food provided by JoDanni’s Amore and are also giving away a free Playstation 5 to a student who attends.

Dinner Served: 6:30 p.m.

Service: 7 - 8:30 p.m. “We are excited to see the Gospel of Christ shared at our area schools. At this event, students will share testimonies, sing praises, play games, and hear a Word about the transformational power that comes through faith in Jesus Christ.” said Jeremiah Goltz, FCA coach and United to Revive Ministries President.

This will be the second overall Fields of Faith event for Staunton Schools. Attendance is open to the entire community, but especially all students in the area. A free meal will be served starting at 6:30 p.m., followed by a program starting at 7:00 PM, including:

- Worship with a Praise Band

- Faith Testimonies from area students

- Fun games with great prizes

- A free raffle for a PS5
