Livingston Streetfest set for Sept. 30

Livingston Streetfest is hosting a variety of events on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023 starting from noon to 10 p.m. located on Livingston Ave. on Downtown Main Street.

A car, truck, and bike show will be begin from 12:30 to 4:30. Registration starts at 12:30 and costs $20 (cash only) per vehicle. There will be goody bags, dash plaques and trophies, attendance prizes, and a 50/50 drawing. Trophies will be awarded for the following categories: Mayor’s Choice, Streetfest Choice, Fire Department, Police Department, People’s Choice, and Most Chrome. Trophy presentation begins at 4:30.

Music will also be available, starting with Always On My Mind DJ and Karaoke (DJ Willie) at 12 to 3 p.m., Elvis Impersonator Steve Davis at 3:30 to 5 p.m., and Oldies, Motown, and Classic Rock (Tragg Band) at 6 to 10 p.m.

A scarecrow contest will also be available. Decorated scarecrows can be brought to check in next to the band stand by the blue canopies between 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event is free to enter and open to the public. Trophies will be awarded for the following categories: Funniest, Scariest, Prettiest, and Most Business Like. Trophies will be awarded at 5:30. Please keep your choices respectable when decorating.

Other events include Water Blast, Face Painting, Kids Games, Axe Throwing, Balloons, Dinosaur Storybook Walk, Bounce Houses, Magic Shows (1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.), Crafters and Venders, and a Tractor Show at the Old Grade School Lot from 12 to 4 p.m. Cost is $10 per tractor to enter.

Food and Drinks such as Walking Tacos, Chicken, Pulled Pork, Cheeseburgers, Hotdogs, and more will be served at stands downtown.
