Staunton High School 2023-2024 Homecoming Court

SHS will begin its 90th annual Homecoming activities with the Hoco Play followed by the King and Queen Coronation in the auditorium at 2 p.m., on Sunday, Sept. 17. This year's theme is "Be Our Guest." The dress-up days are as follows: Monday is jersey day, Tuesday is soccer mom or BBQ dad day, Wednesday is Barbie (pink) vs. Oppenheimer (black) day, Thursday is Disney day, and Friday is red and white day, however, for seniors only, Friday is also toga day.

As well as, on Friday, Sept. 22, the 10th annual Powder Puff Football game featuring the senior vs. junior girls will take place at the high school football field at 10:30 a.m. where the public is also welcome to attend. A parade including the Homecoming Court, class banners, cheerleaders, fall sports' teams, FFA, and the marching band will begin at 2 p.m. The parade will start at St. Michael's Church, then it will come down Main Street till it reaches its final destination at the high school.

The varsity football game will be on Friday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m. and the Homecoming Court will be announced at approximately 6:40 p.m. All are welcomed to come and join the students, staff, and administrators to celebrate this tradition.

The doors for the Homecoming Dance will open at 6:30 p.m. and will be held on campus in the Multipurpose Room, on Saturday, Sept. 23, from 7 to 10 p.m. Presale tickets are available for $15 and can be purchased from Ms. Baima or Mrs. Larsen through the end of the day on Thursday, Sept. 21. Tickets will also be sold at the door for $20 on the night of the dance. Cash and checks made payable to SHS are accepted.
