Jennie M. Laskach (80) of Staunton died Aug. 9 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Mildred Schimke Bayon (84) died Aug. 7 at Heritage Manor in Litchfield.
Dr. George J. Hess (86) of Bunker Hill, a physician in Bunker Hill for 37 years, died Aug. 4 at Community Memorial Hospital.

A federal grand jury charged Roger Dyer of Waggoner with burglary at Fritz Drug Store in Staunton along with several other pharmacy burglaries in the area.
A new pastor, Rev. Kevin Cook, will be installed at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livingston on Aug. 17. Pastor Maurice Alms, who served the church for 21 years, has retired.
A daughter was born to Paige Gerdes and Tyler DeLong on July 16.
A daughter was born to Daniel and Heather (Catalano) Garrett Jr. of Litchfield on Aug. 6.
A son was born to Nick and Kristin Hegel of Benld on Aug. 6.
