Strassenfest in Staunton is set for Sept. 16

The second annual Strassenfest in Staunton has been scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16.

The plans include food, refreshments, and music. Also, one of the most popular features from last year will be repeated this year and that is the sidewalk art show/competition.

Everyone wishing to be involved with the sidewalk art competition will be given a 4 ft. by 4 ft. space in which to work and colored chalk will be provided. Contestants submitting their very specialized artwork will be divided into three groups for judging: Pre-K thru 5th grade, 6th grade - 12th grade, and adult....
