Shawn T. McCullough (42) of Homer Glen faces Class 4 felony charges for transmission of a false report on July 10, in that defendant transmitted a report to Carlinville Police Department that a robbery had been committed knowing at the time of the transmission of the report that there was no reasonable grounds that the offense had been committed. Bond was set at $10,000.

Eric S. Cunningham (39) of Gillespie faces Class 4 felony charges for criminal damage to property on July 10 in that said defendant knowingly damaged property of Brian Komanetsky, being a rental house, in that he broke out windows and drywall, with damage being in excess of $500 but less than $10,000. Bond was set at $35,000.

Alan Mimiaga Gazca (31) of Joliet faces a Class 4 felony charge of unlawful possession of controlled substance on April 1, when defendant possessed a substance containing cocaine. Bond was set at $10,000.

Shawn M. Evans (36) of Irving has been charged with a Class M felony for first degree murder when on July 12, he shot Dana Morgan, Jr. with a firearm knowing that said act would cause his death or great bodily harm. Conviction carries a mandatory 20-60 years in the department of corrections and an additional 25 years to life for firearm enhancement. Count II is for first degree murder for shooting Evans with a firearm knowing the act carried a strong probability of Evans’ death and carries a mandatory 20-60 years DOC and an additional 25 years to life for firearm enhancement. Counts III and IV are Class X felonies for aggravated battery/discharge of firearm in that Evans discharged a firearm and the projectile entered the left arm and the chest of Dana Morgan Jr.

Curtis W. Caudle (64) of Carlinville faces Class 3 felony charges for possession of meth. On April 4, defendant possessed less than 5 grams of methamphetamine.

Brian C. Schaake, a/k/a Brian D. Day of Carlinville faces Class 2 felony charges of domestic battery in that on July 12, defendant strangled his girlfriend Destiny Henderson by grabbing her by the throat, applying pressure and impeding her normal breathing. In Count II Schaake is charged with a Class A felony when on July 12, defendant knowingly caused bodily harm to Destiny Henderson in that he struck her in the head with his hand. Bond was set at $25,000.

Isaac E. Edgington (32) of Carlinville faces two Class 3 felony charges for possession of meth. On May 9 and on June 9, he possessed less than 5 grams of methamphetamine.

Michael J. Ross (46) of Mt. Olive, faces a Class 3 felony charge of theft when on July 10 he exerted unauthorized control over the property of U.S. Minerals, being a gas compressor, electrical wiring, and a fuel tank, having a value of more than $500 but less than $10,000. In Count II, a Class 4 felony charge, on July 11, defendant committed the offense of false reporting an offense in that he transmitted a report to 9-1-1 that an offense of domestic battery had been committed knowing that there was no reasonable grounds to believe the offense had been committed.

Kevin Farley (38) of Lincoln faces charges of criminal trespass to land in that on July 8, defendant entered the land of Melissa Weidel, 813 E. Chestnut, Benld, after having received prior notice from the property owner that such entry was forbidden. Bond was set at $1,500.

Kyler M. Scott (18) of Medora was charged with battery in that on July 8, said defendant knowingly caused bodily harm to David Wallace by striking him in the head with his fist.

Mathew Kerley (48) of Benld has been charged with criminal trespass on land in that said defendant remained upon property owned by Wendi Bolin at 503 N. 5th St. in Benld after having been given notice by law enforcement to depart.

Walter L. Vester (29) of Gillespie has been charged with criminal trespass in a building in that on July 6, defendant unlawfully entered a building located at 211 Western St.,Gillespie. Bond was set at $1,500.

Stephanie K. Short (57) of Bunker Hill was charged with violation of an order of protection in that on July 12, defendant came within 500 feet of Toni Barker, a protected party. Bond was set at $5,000.

Michael T. Pernicka (21) of Staunton faces charges of criminal damage to property in that on May 15, defendant damaged property of the City of Staunton, being a toilet seat cover, in that defendant placed a cinder block on said toilet seat cover and broke the seat cover, the damage not in excess of $500.

DUI

Kayla I. Curtis (21) of Bunker Hill was ticketed for two counts of driving under the influence. On July 1, at 2:40 a.m., Curtis did unlawfully operate a Ford passenger car on Elm and Fulton streets in Gillespie with a BAC of .158.

Randolph L. Smith (67) of Virden on July 10, at 10:36 p.m. was ticketed for two counts of driving under the influence for unlawfully operating a Dodge Ram truck on N. Springfield and E. Jackson in Virden with a BAC of .08 or above.

Gazca Alan Mimiaga (31) of Joliet was cited for unlawfully operating a Chevrolet truck on I-55, MP 50 on April 1, at 9:48 p.m. with unlawful possession of cannabis by driver.

Karla Beedeker (70) of Carlinville was cited for driving under the influence on July 6, at 9:13 p.m. after having an accident with personal injuries for unlawfully operating a 2011 Jeep passenger car on Carlinville Lake Road at Oakwood Road.
