Steven James Moss, 41, of Phoenix, Ariz., died Thursday, June 29, 2023. Steven was born to Gerry and Glenda (Hefer) Moss of Phoenix on Feb. 23, 1980.

Steven was a member of Redeemer Reformed Baptist Church in Phoenix and had a very active teaching ministry in sharing God’s word to young adults throughout his life.

Steven is survived by his parents of Phoenix; his grandmother, Dorothy Jean Moss of Carrboro, N.C .; his aunts Barbara (Brian) Kuckuck of Dewey, Ariz., and Sherry (Frank) Turner of Durham, N.C .; and numerous cousins in North Carolina. Steven was preceded in death by grandfathers, J.W. Moss and Archie Hefer; and by his grandmother, Mabel (Henrichs) Hefer.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, July 11, at Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton, Ill., with Pastor Pete Smith officiating. Steven’s body will be laid to rest with other family members at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton.
