Koller

Fred Allen Koller, 69, of Walshville, Ill., died on Monday, July 3, 2023, at his home. Fred was born on Aug. 1, 1953, in Granite City, to Charles and Vivian (Lanham) Koller. He married Marcia Barker on Aug. 13, 2001, and she survives.

He worked at the former Granite City Steel as a steel mill operator. In his spare time, Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. As a carpenter, he had a real passion for woodworking.

Fred is survived by his wife, Marcia; a son, Shawn Koller; daughters, Kimberly Koller and Sarah Koller; a stepson, Ben (Shelly) Barker; and a stepdaughter, Amy Fitzwater. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bryan and Keith.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
