The workshop and garage of Frank Ramach located north of Staunton was destroyed by fire on Friday.
Mike Favre announced that Timber Lakes Golf Course will open nine holes by next May with the back nine completed by next August or September.
Ernest Louis Flaim (86) of Mt. Olive formerly of Staunton, died June 23 at Springfield Manor Nursing Home in Springfield.
Walter Frank Fritzche (80) of Mt Olive died June 24 at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
Irene Sophia Nora Remmert (89) of Mt. Olive died June 26 at Heritage Manor in Gillespie.
Gladys M. Molinar (70) of Wilsonville died June 29 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.

Jostlin Varble was crowned Miss Staunton 2008.
Marcie Billings and Joe Masinelli were named Little Miss and Mister Staunton during the homecoming festivities.
A daughter was born to Joe and Melissa Matesa on June 14.
