Published in the Interest of the Staunton Community for Over 143 Years
June was another strong month with increased usage at the Staunton Helping Hands Center. 115 families were served with a total impact to 308 adults and 134 children (442 individuals). Twelve new families utilized the SHHC in June.
Donations were received by the following individuals: Rich Fiori, Wanda Watson, Lynn Neuhaus, Merry Callovini, Susan Miller, Robert & Gloria Dvorak, Kathleen Benda, and Cindy Rigoni. Donations were received by the following churches: The Assembly, St. Michael's Catholic Church, and Zion Lutheran Church. Special food drive items were received in June from Illinois Valley Economic Development Corporation. The IVEDC recently collected non-perishable items to donate to their four-county service area. The SHHC is thankful for the teamwork from the IVEDC, as well as all the other individuals, businesses, churches and organizations that consistently support with food and financial resources.

The Staunton Helping Hands Center is open on Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and Wednesdays from 5-7 p.m. Donations can be received during business hours, at P.O. Box 111 or via Venmo @stauntonhelpinghands.
