Melvin and Venita (Lovejoy) Horky of St. Charles, Mo., formerly of Staunton, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 19.

Joseph J. "Joe" Odorizzi (80) of Staunton died June 17 at Community Memorial Hospital.

Emilia Molinar (100) died June 9 at her home in Wilsonville.

Elizabeth L. Best (70) of Staunton died June 19 at Community Memorial Hospital.

Laura Oettel (87) of Staunton died June 18 at Community Memorial Hospital.

Gertrude Sminchak (82) of Staunton died June 17 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Staunton.

Charlie Carl Harris (75) of Dunedin, Fla., died at Community Memorial Hospital while visiting his sister Norma Biros of Staunton.

Della Mae Poe (89) of Edwardsville died June 21 at Anna Henry Nursing Home in Edwardsville.

The Staunton Firemen’s Annual Homecoming will be held this weekend.

Evidence was discovered linking a Waggoner man, Roger C. Dyer, age 33, to the burglary at Fritz Drug Store on April 21, 2007.
