Bentley Eugene Beer passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his parents on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Children's Hospital and Medical Center in Omaha, Neb. Funeral services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 21.
Bentley was born in Sioux Falls, S.D., at 8:30 a.m. on June 10, 2023, to parents Justin and Amanda (Lemke) Beer. He was baptized in Christ on June 11. During his five short days here on earth he touched many lives and was loved tremendously by family and friends. Bentley experienced lots of snuggles, hand holding, and kisses from his family. He got to listen to stories read to him by his parents and siblings, lullabies, and being told "I love you" an uncountable amount of times. Everyone was in awe of his cute button nose and soft fluffy hair. He was simply perfect.
Bentley's memory will forever be cherished by his parents; siblings, Kinsley and Jaxton of Hendricks, Minn.; grandparents, James and Karin Beer of Hendricks, Minn.; grandparents, Bradley and Monica Lemke of Staunton, Ill.; aunts and uncles, Jeremy and Becki Beer of Hendricks, Minn.; Jerrad and Leah Beer of Hendricks, Minn.; Jami and Cody DeWerff of Staunton, Ill.; cousins Lydia, Nolan, and Taysom Beer of Hendricks, Minn., Dawson and Hudson Beer of Hendricks, Minn., Kayden and Logan Weis, and Peyton DeWerff of Staunton, Ill.; great-grandfather, Loraine "Pete" Peterson of Gillespie, Ill.; and many extended family members. He is preceded in death by his cousin, Baby Beer; and his great-grandparents Delbert Beer, Janet Beer, Arvin Jeppesen, Caryl Jeppesen, Marlo Lemke, Sylvia Lemke, and Sharon Peterson.
His life was a brief gift to us that will live on through another from the gift of organ donation. He will be forever loved and cherished. We know he is among the angels now and watching over us all.
Houseman Funeral Home-Birk Chapel of Hendricks, Minn., is entrusted with the arrangements.
