Patton

Lonnie W. Patton, 74, of Bunker Hill, Ill., died at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo., on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. He was born Jan. 16, 1949, in Bloomfield, Mo., to Charles A. and Helen M. (Layton) Patton. He married Vicki Boner, and she survives.

He was a backtender for Jefferson Smurfitt and worked in maintenance at SIUE. Lonnie was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force after having served during Vietnam. He loved camping, fishing, metal detecting, photography and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his mother, Helen M. Patton of Bunker Hill; wife, Vicki Patton of Bunker Hill; children, Scott (Stacy) Patton of Mt. Vernon, Charles "Chuck" (Debbie) Patton of Portage Des Sioux, Mo .; grandchildren, Kayla Patton, Kelsey Patton, Greg Hahn; step-grandchildren, Sophia Zieglar, Bella Zieglar; brother, Ronnie (Joann) Patton of Plainview; and sisters, Audrey (Ron) Ambrose of Bunker Hill and Pat Olds of Bunker Hill. Lonnie was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Mike Patton.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, June 10, at Woodburn Bible Church.
