Court

Ralph V. Kahl, 53, of Virden on May 27, committed the offense of battery/use of a deadly weapon in that said defendant while using a sign post, committed a battery in that he hit Louis R. Smith with a sign post multiple times.

Dillion D. Grether, 24, of South Roxana on May 29, committed the offense of fleeing police/21 MPH over in that he drove a 1999 Chevrolet truck on IL Route 159 in Macoupin County and having been given a visual or audible signal by a peace officer directing said driver to bring his vehicle to a stop wilfully failed or refused to obey and drove at a rate of speed at least 21 miles per hour over the legal speed limit.

Travis E. Crain, 31, of Benld committed the offense of aggravated battery/pregnant/handicapped, in that on May 29 he knowingly made contact of an insulting or provoking nature to Brooke A. Clarke in that he slapped Clarke in the face knowing Clarke to be pregnant.

Colton J. Eberlin,18, of Alton on May 30 committed the offense of aggravated battery/public place in that said defendant, in committing a battery, knowingly caused bodily harm to Logan Jamieson in that he struck Jamieson in the face with his fist while at the intersection of Killam and Minton Streets in Carlinville.

Fred D. Hafley, 70, of Peoria Heights on June 1 committed the offense of criminal sexual abuse/consent in that defendant committed an act of sexual conduct in that he grabbed the breast of G.R. knowing the victim was unable to understand the nature of the act or is unable to give knowing consent.

Henry D. Wilson, 36, of Staunton on May 28, committed the offense of burglary in that defendant, without authority, knowingly entered a shed located on the property at 200 N. Union, in Staunton with the intent to commit a theft.

Julie M. Meyer, 38, of Mt. Olive did on May 31 commit the offense of assault with a deadly weapon in that defendant, in committing an assault, pulled a knife from a sheath, a deadly weapon, and told Brian Althardt that she might cut off his penis and slit his throat, thereby placing Brian Althardt in reasonable apprehension of receiving a battery.

DUI

Misty M. Carlisle, 42, of Virden was charged with two counts of DUI. On May 29, she was driving a 2008 Mercury passenger car at 12:58 a.m. at 622 N. Noble in Virden.

Megan E. Vaughn, 20, of Edwardsville received a DUI citation (over .08). On May 18 at 1:08 a.m., Vaughn did unlawfully operate a 2016 Acura at Pine and Laura streets in Gillespie.
