Lillian June Strubinger, 91, formerly of Bunker Hill, Ill., died at River Crossing of Alton on Monday, May 15, 2023. She was born July 16, 1931, in Hardwick, Vt., to Chester and June Bailey. She married Glen Strubinger on May 12, 1954, in Nashua, N.H. He preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 2008.
She is survived by her daughters, Gayle Vincelette of West Frankfort, Ill., Robin (Chris) Schlobohm of Bunker Hill, Ill .; sons, Randal (Sharon) Brunet of Chaska, Minn., Wayne (Jeannie) Strubinger of Denver, Colo., Ron (Dennis Sorenson) Strubinger of Bethalto, Ill .; grandchildren, Jeff (Penny) Staton, Mark (Mary Ann) Staton, Carl (Vicky Followell) Vincelette Jr., Stephanie (Steve) Heiens, Andrea (Austin Hollaway) Holmes, Michelle (Jeremy) Engebretson, Adam (Amy) Brunet, Joshua (Brandi) Strubinger, Katie (Andrew) Salas; and 19 great-grandchildren. Lillian was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and grandsons, Steve Staton and Brett Holmes.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 24, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Bunker Hill Municipal Building.
