Local groups and organizations have once again been very generous in supporting the graduates of Staunton High School. The following scholarships were awarded during the graduation ceremony held on Friday, May 19.
The American Legion Post 362 George Oehler Jr. Memorial Scholarships are presented by Commander Pete Matesa.
Three individual scholarships are being awarded.
A scholarship in memory of George Oehler Jr. and Mrs. Ann Oehler was given by the Oehler family and the Staunton American Legion Post 362 and awarded to Lily Pelo.
A scholarship in memory of Larry “Fox” Bellovich was given by the Bellovich family and awarded to Trenton Becker.
A scholarship in memory of Robert Vojas was given by the Vojas family and awarded to Sydnee Stanton.
The American Legion Post 578 Auxiliary Scholarship was awarded to Jack Pritchett.
The Band Merit Scholarship was awarded to Lily Pelo and Anthony Losch.
The Barbara Yakos and Patricia Long English Scholarship was awarded to Samantha Schnefke and Emma Tjaden.
The Bob Price Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Andrew Dustman and Lily Pelo.
The Delbert W. Stiegemeier Scholarship was awarded to Cody Ury.
The FFA Alumni Association Scholarship was awarded to Olivia Albrecht, Riley Kessler, Jessica Loeh, Tabitha McCormick, Mary Rensing, and Cody Ury.
The His Service Station Scholarship was awarded to Trenton Becker, Zachary Painter, Lily Pelo, Jack Pritchett, Emma Saracco, and Emma Tjaden.
The Jamie Jo Broderick Fernandez Scholarship for seniors intending to major in Education was awarded to Emma Tjaden.
The MCDFF Jeff DalPozzo Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Zachary Painter and Cody Ury.
The Staunton Knights of Columbus Joseph Spernoga Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Grant Neuhaus and Emma Tjaden.
The Lynn Schmidt Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Grant Neuhaus and Taylor Seelbach.
The Nancy Mayfield-Holtorf Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Olivia Albrecht, Haris Legendre, and Emma Tjaden.
The SHS Academic Merit Scholarship was awarded to Kennedy Legendre, Emma Saracco, and Joseph Siegfried.
The SHS Technical Scholarship was awarded to Zachary Painter and Cody Ury.
There were five Staunton Education Foundation Scholarships.
-The Anonymous Donor Scholarship was awarded to Trenton Becker.
-The Judy and Jarid Ott Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Zachary Painter.
-The Melissa and Kevin Euler and Staunton Education Foundation Scholarship was awarded to Lily Pelo.
-The William and Helen Struck Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Jack Pritchett.
-The Staunton Education Foundation Scholarship was awarded to Emma Tjaden.
The Staunton Lions Club Scholarship was awarded to Lily Pelo.
The Staunton Sports Booster Club Scholarship was awarded to Grant Neuhaus, Adam Overby, Zachary Painter, Jack Pritchett, Cody Ury, and Allison Weller.
The Staunton Volunteer Fire Department Scholarship was awarded to Joseph Best, Andrew Dustman, Zachary Painter, and Emma Saracco.
-The Tori Carroll Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Trenton Becker, Adam Eyman, Zachary Painter, Lily Pelo, Lexi Pfeiffer and Emma Saracco.
The Touchdown Club Scholarship, sponsored by Jaguar Junior Football,was awarded to Jacob Dillon, Andrew Dustman, Zachary Painter, and Cody Ury.
