The Staunton boys placed 2nd with 85 team points at the Gillespie Invitational held May 12. Litchfield was 1st with 106 team points.
Staunton competitors placing in the top five included Trace Trettenero who was 2nd in the 100m finals with a time of 11.31
Nicholas Monahan was 4th in the 3200m.
Braden Buffington was 3rd in the 300m hurdles.
The team of Michael Matesa, Ethan Rantanen, Braden Buffington and Trace Trettenero won 1st place in the 4x100 relay (44.53).
The team of Matesa, Rantanen, Oller, Trettenero won 1st in the 4x200 relay (1:32.4) and the team of Oller, Rantanen, Matesa and Buffington won 2nd in the 4x400 relay.
In the high jump event, Vic Buehler and Thomas Ogata placed 4th and 5th.
Braden Buffington won 1st place in the long jump with a 5.91m jump.
In the triple jump, Michael Matesa and Thomas Ogata placed 3rd and 5th.
