Amy Lynn Carter, 38, of Gillespie, Ill., died at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield on Monday, May 1, 2023. She was born Feb. 13, 1985, in Tampa, Fla., to Dennis and Mary Jo (Yurkovich) Henson.

She was a painter for the local union. Amy enjoyed painting, motorcycle riding, boating, dancing and being with family and friends.

She is survived by her father, Dennis Henson of Benld; mother, Mary Jo Henson of Benld; sons, Trevlin Long of Benld, Jonathon Carter of Mt. Olive; daughter, Emilyn Boaz of Gillespie; sisters, Keisha Campbell of Wilsonville, Tasha Lind of Roxana; and boyfriend, Charles G. Boaz of Gillespie.

Private family services will be held.
