Dori Rhodes - Candidate Profiles

Dori is 58 years old and is a retired special education teacher.

She has been married for 39 years and is the mother of three married sons who are all Staunton High School graduates. She is also grandma to five grandchildren.

Dori graduated from Staunton High School with the class of 1983; has a Bachelor of Science in Special Education degree from SIUE; and has completed course work towards her Master’s Degree.

She is retired from Staunton Junior High, currently serves as a School Board member and is seeking reelection to that board.

She is seeking reelection to continue to serve the community and school to ensure a quality education to all students.

Her top goals include

1) Ensure high quality education to all students in the Staunton School District;

2) Continue to work on improvement of physical buildings as well as safety within the school; and

3) Continue to maintain fiscal accountability and transparency for voters in Staunton School District and involve the community in updating the Strategic Plan for the District.
