Track team at Jersey Indoor Winter Thaw

The Staunton track team competed at the Jersey Indoor Winter Thaw meet held Saturday, March 11, at Principia College Grafton Center.

Twenty-five teams competed in the men's division and 22 teams in the girls' division. Mascoutah won first place in both divisions.

The Staunton men won 8.5 team points.

Trace Trettenero placed 6th in the 60-meter dash prelims and then improved his time to take 5th in the 60-meter dash finals.

Ethan Rantanen placed 10th in the 200-meter finals and Nathan Oller placed 7th in the 400-meter varsity finals.

The 4x200 relay team of Trettenero, Rantanen, Michael Matesa and Braden Buffington placed 7th and the team of Nathan Oller,Thomas Ogata, Michael Matesa and Braden Buffington placed 10th in the 4x400 relay.

Michael Matesa placed 8th in the pole vault.

In the girls competition, Lilly Trettenero placed 9th in the 200-meter varsity finals.

The 4x200 relay team of Lilly Trettenero, Lexi Pfeiffer, Meadow Kilduff and Gianna Bianco, placed 15th; and the 4x400 relay team of Meadow Kilduff, SarahWright, Kristin Wagoner and Lexi Pfeiffer finished 16th.

Gianna Bianco placed 11th in the high jump.
