Staunton Senior Citizens held meeting

President Gerri Cook called the March 2, 2023 meeting to order at 1 p.m. There were 28 members attending. The Lord's Prayer and Pledge of Allegiance were said. The minutes and treasurer's reports for the February meetings were read and approved after an error on February birthday people was brought to attention. Also the subject of using some of the money that was in the bank was brought up and it was decided that everyone is to consider if they want to just leave it as is or do something with some of it. It will be discussed at the next meeting and voted on.

Dixie Ross was a visitor today and also joined the club as a member. Attendance prizes were awarded to Linda Pike and Gaylene Ocepek. Dorothy Fritz and Shirley Copeland won the pots of silver. There were no card or prayer requests. The meeting was adjourned and everyone enjoyed playing bingo. Bingo was called by Leslie Vannoy, Regional Administrator for The Glenwood Assisted Living Facilities.

The next meeting for the Staunton Senior Citizens will be on March 16 starting at 1 p.m. at St. Paul United Church of Christ, 225 S. Laurel Street in Staunton.
