Ellsworth Daniel Parish Jr., 76, of Alhambra, Ill., died on Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, at his residence. He was born on Nov. 10, 1946, in Litchfield, the son of Ellsworth D. and Florence (Lynch) Parish.

Dan grew up in Sawyerville and graduated from Gillespie High School in 1964. He worked with maintenance as a painter at Granite City Steel.

Dan is survived by his children, Debbie (Marty) Cralley of Livingston; Danny Parish of Girard, Adam Parish of Hannibal, Mo., Dana Goth of Highland, Eric Parish of Staunton; 10 grandchildren, Natosha (Brian) Cralley, Owen Parish, Jonathan (Kelly) Parish, Brian Parish; Kassidy and Katrina Goth, Ethan, Evan, and Eric Parish, Martin Cralley; four great-grandchildren; grandson-in-law, Shadwell Siefke; a great-great granddaughter, Esmeralda Zumwalt, arriving in the month of March; brothers, Thurman (Linda) Parich of Sawyerville, Earnie (Norma) Parish of Staunton, Rick (Vickie) Parish of Kentucky; and sister, Faith Cummings of Ohio. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Ellsworth "Puffball" Parish Sr. and Florence Parish; sister, Hope Korunka; daughter-in-law, Tina Parish; granddaughter, Crystal (Cralley) Siefke; his first wife, Sharon (Shanks) Parish.

It was Dan's wishes and that of his family that his body be cremated, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
