Miller

Dr. William G. Miller, 76, of Worden, Ill., died on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. He was born April 3, 1946, in Worden, and was the son of the late George and Verna (Ursprung) Miller. He married Wanda Smith on Dec. 31, 1996, in Tampa, Fla., and she survives.

He was employed by The Olin Corporation facility in Tampa, Fla., as general manager. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Bill was a member of First United Methodist Church of Worden, Staunton Masonic Lodge #177 AF & AM, and Shriner's of East St. Louis. Bill had a long list of educational degrees: He completed his AS in 1974, BS in 1975, MS in 1978, ES in 1979, and PhD in 1996. He also completed his MBA Certificate from Washington University in 1986, Hypnotherapist in 1993, and Mottio & Johnson Hypnosis Institute in 1993.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Miller of Worden; three daughters, Kimberly Spurling of Rockford, Stephanie (Pat) Welch of Worden, and Stacey (Sam) Cadaret of Troy; five stepchildren, Richard Trimm of Alton, Brian Trimm of East Alton, Christina (Richard) Fedorchak of Maryville, Kenneth Orlandini of Worden, Stephen (Stephanie) Orlandini of Wood River; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date with interment in Worden City Cemetery.
