Kevin Scott Knezik, 60, of Edwardsville, Ill., died on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Anderson Hospital in Maryville. He was born on June 12, 1962, at St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, the son of Rudolph V. Knezik and Gloria M. (Lesicko, Knezik) Blechle.
Kevin graduated from Edwardsville High School in 1980. He worked for Wieland, formerly Olin Brass, as an annealing operator, first responder, and most recently was the 280/Annealing Department Safety Coordinator with 42 years of service. Kevin enjoyed tinkering with small machines and playing cards with his close friends. He helped at the KC Hall and assisted with church activities. He was the owner of K&K Small Engines and worked on numerous lawn mowers and tractors. During his life, he was very helpful to all that were around him. Even in death he helped others by being an organ donor.
Kevin is survived by his daughters, Laura (John) Rommel and Jaclyn Knezik; brothers and sisters, Jeffrey Knezik, Gregory Knezik, Rebecca Knezik, Kristine (Bruce) Schopp, Jarred Knezik; several nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph Knezik.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Lesicko Funeral Home in Livingston. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 10, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Livingston.
