The Macoupin County Veterans Assistance Commission will be in Benld on Tuesday, Feb. 7, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Superintendent Bobby Scott will be at the Cahokia Township office. He will be able to help qualified veterans and their families with claim work and assistance such as shelter, food, utilities, etc.
The Veterans Assistance Commission is operated by and for veterans and provides aid to those military veterans and their families that reside in Macoupin County and that may qualify for need and assistance. They can also provide veterans from outside Macoupin County with referral service to the appropriate agency.
