Donna Jean Guild, 61, of Mt. Olive, Ill., died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo. Donna was born in Staunton on Jan. 8, 1961, to Altilio and Elsie (Straub) Valenti. She married Keith Andrew Guild on June 2, 2002, at the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Olive. He survives.
She attended Staunton schools and graduated in 1979. Donna worked in both child care and home health. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Olive. Donna enjoyed taking vacations and also liked to swim.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Guild of Mt. Olive; three sons, Scott (Kaitlyn) Forbes of Wood River, Marty (Jordan) Forbes of Staunton, and Joey Guild of Mt. Olive; and two grandchildren, Hunter and C.J. Forbes. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Michael Valenti, Terry Valenti, and Tom Valenti.
Services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at Becker and Son Funeral Home in Mt. Olive with Rev. Art Braden officiating. Burial was in Mt. Olive City Cemetery.
