Rosemary Tallman, 89, of Staunton, Ill., died at Community Hospital of Staunton on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022. She was born May 1, 1933, the daughter of the late Paul and Katie (Lisac) Halavonich. She married William Karl Tallman on April 25, 1957, at the Bridal Cave in Missouri, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 2012.
Rosemary was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church of Staunton, Staunton VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and the Edwardsville Moose Lodge.
Survivors include one son, Karl (Shelia) Tallman of Bunker Hill; two grandsons, Alex Tallman of Bunker Hill, Austin Tallman of Edwardsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Carli Marie Tallman; three brothers, Paul, Mike, and John Halavonich; and two sisters, Dorothy Gusewelle and Anne Knott.
Private graveside services will be held at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery in Staunton with Rev. Thomas Hagstrom officiating.
