Stewart

Wayne F. Stewart, 65, of Worden, Ill., died on Sunday, Dec. 18, at his home with loved ones by his side. He was born March 18, 1957, to Jack and Pauline Stewart in Staunton. In 1976, Wayne met Sondra Welch, and they were married on June 22, 1977. She survives.

Wayne was a carpenter by trade, learning from his father-in-law, Red Welch. The two worked together for many years. Wayne's passions were playing the guitar, gardening, and driving his grandbabies around on the lawn mower. Wayne touched the lives of many people with his giving nature and kind heart.

He is survived by his wife, Sondra Stewart; daughters, Gina and Shaila; son-in-law, Joe; three grandchildren, Norah and Addison Matthews, Carson Lesicko; two brothers, Joe and Jim; two sisters, Bonnie and Patty; and his nieces and nephews. Wayne was preceded in death by his mother and father, Jack and Pauline; his stepmother, Lois; brother Dale; and his eldest daughter, Laila.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
