Snowflake search at Bremer

Bundle up for the return of the exciting family friendly winter activity at the H & B Bremer Wildlife Sanctuary in Hillsboro. They’ve hidden 12 painted snowflakes with an accompanying Bremer fun fact sign throughout the sanctuary. In random order, all snowflakes and facts are located along the established trails but may stretch to every corner of the 203 acres (yes, that is a hint).

There are five miles of walking trails, and trail maps are located in the rural mailbox in front of the barn.

Can you find all the snowflakes? Submit your entry via their Facebook page, new website “contact us” link or by paper entry form located inside the Little Free Library in front of the Bremer barn. Your entry should include: Number of the fun fact signs, title on the signs and background color of each snowflake disc and your contact information.

The last day to submit your entry is Feb. 15. One winner will be drawn from all the entries to win a “Fun Evening at Bremer” which includes a trail hike, wagon ride and s’more roasting for you and 15 friends and family members.

Bremer Sanctuary, an Illinois Audubon Society property, is located one-half mile north of the Montgomery County courthouse, 194 Bremer Lane, Hillsboro. Follow the signs to the parking area at the barn. The grounds are open to the public from dawn to dusk for non-vehicular traffic on the marked trails.
