Caldieraro Dental adds local dentist

Caldieraro Dental has added a second dentist to the staff of the dental practice located in Staunton. Becky (Baum) Coalson D.M.D. has joined John Caldieraro D.M.D. in seeing patients at the office at 20657 Staunton Road. She will be in the office two days a week starting in January.

Coalson is a familiar face around town since she grew up here and still lives in Staunton. She attended grade school at St. Michael's Catholic School and graduated from Staunton High School in 1997. She attended SIUE and earned a Bachelors degree in Biology in 2001. Her graduation from SIU School of Dental Medicine with a D.M.D. degree in 2005 was followed with employment at SIHF Healthcare (a federally qualified healthcare center) in Bethalto where she has worked for the past 17 years.

"I especially enjoy treating children of all ages," Coalson stated.

She hopes to see more children staying in Staunton for all types of patient care, including orthodontics like braces and clear aligners.

Outside of work, Coalson enjoys watching her children participate in their many sports and other activities. She also likes to travel with her family that includes husband Brian, 14-year-old Bryce and 10-year-old Brooke. Her parents are Joe and Janet Baum of Staunton.

John B. Caldieraro III is the owner of Caldieraro Dental.

"I bought the practice from Kevin Kays in 2008 and had a new building constructed," stated Caldieraro. His practice was moved to the current location on the edge of town in 2013.

Caldieraro graduated from Staunton High School in 2000 and from St. Louis University in 2004 with a Bachelors degree in Biology. He graduated from SIU School of Dental Medicine with a D.M.D. degree in 2008. In addition, he teaches part-time at SIU School of Dental Medicine where he is an assistant clinical professor.

Caldieraro and his wife, Kelli (Mueller), live in Staunton and have three children, Johnnie, 9, Kenzi, 6, and 4-year-old Jace. His parents are John and Susan Caldieraro of Staunton. His brother, Andrew, is a dentist in Wood River and his sister, Heidi, works at the Staunton branch of Bank of Hillsboro.

Outside of work, Caldieraro enjoys spending time with family, golfing, and traveling.

Caldieraro Dental offers same-day crowns, implant crowns, bridges, fillings, dentures and partials; extractions; and orthodontics including braces and clear aligners. They can be reached by calling 618-635-8333. They are accepting new patients.
