Lady Terriers at Sectional Wednesday

The 7th grade Lady Terriers will play Litchfield at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in Sectional 8 competition at Divernon.

The girls won their Regional 16 title by defeating Roxana 35-17 on Nov. 21 and defeating Vandalia 35- 7 on Nov. 22. The Regional win advanced them to Sectional competition to play Litchfield (Regional 15 winner).

A win would advance the Terriers to State competition where, as Sectional 8 winner, they would play the Sectional 7 winner at 10 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 3.

A win in the 10 a.m. first round Game 1 Saturday would advance the Terriers to Game 5 to play the winner of Game 2 (Sect. 2 vs .Sect. 3) at 5 p.m. Dec. 3.

A win in Game 5 advances the Terriers to play for the state championship at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 8. A loss in Game 5 would place the Terriers in the third place game at 6 p.m. Dec. 8.
