Staunton Helping Hands Center October recap

The Staunton Helping Hands Center is preparing for a wonderful holiday season and is thankful for the support it receives from the community.  With the upcoming Boy Scout food drive, the SHHC would like to encourage you to check dates before donating. Some of the most helpful items to donate are: instant mashed potatoes, instant oatmeal packs, cold cereal, tuna, chili, and soup (vegetable beef, chicken noodle, and cream of mushroom).

The SHHC would like to thank the following donors from October:

Donations from Individuals and organizations:

Merry Callovini, Susan Miller, Lynn Neuhaus, Wanda Watson, Rich Fiori, Staunton FFA, Brownie Troop 6075, Bunker Hill Livewires 4-H Club and the Staunton Soccer Club.

Donations from Churches:

The Assembly, St. Michael's, Net Community, Zion Lutheran, and Concord Baptist.

Special thanks to the Diocese of Springfield and the grant awarded from the CRS Rice Bowl. Thank you to local parishioners that help to give to this cause.

There is still time to donate to sponsor a turkey dinner for a family ($25). Donations can be dropped off during pantry hours (Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and Wednesdays from 5-7pm) or mailed to PO Box 111 in Staunton. Donations can also be received via Venmo @stauntonhelpinghands.
