Staunton FFA agriculture sales team advances to state

The Staunton FFA's agriculture sales team competed at the district competition on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the Brant Consolidated Global Headquarters in Springfield, where they advanced to state and are now one of the top 15 teams in the state of Illinois. The team competed in multiple categories including a team sales presentation, a general sales knowledge exam, and an individual sales presentation. The team was very successful at the district competition winning second place overall, winning the team sales presentation room. Looking at individual sales presentations, Daniel Blotevogel and Riley Kessler placed second in their rooms. These scores were followed by Jillian McLaughlin who placed third in her room and Dain Volentine who placed eighth in his. The team will move on to compete at the state competition on Saturday, Nov. 19, at Lincoln Land Community College.
