On Nov. 2, the Staunton Retired Teachers Association met for lunch and meeting at R&B’s Restaurant. The meeting was presided over by Emmlee Vezzoli Robinson, who for many years has been the organization’s president. Since the onset of COVID, she has also acted, without complaint, as treasurer, information officer, and secretary as well.
The meeting ended by the unanimous decision to dissolve the local chapter, the only one remaining in Illinois. All further memberships will be through the Macoupin County Chapter which meets twice a year in Carlinville.
