The volleyball Lady Bulldogs got no rest last week as they traveled to Greenville on Tuesday, traveled to North Mac on Wednesday, and played in a tournament on Friday and Saturday.
They started out by defeating Greenville in two sets 25-11 and 25-10 on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
Haris Legendre led in kills with 11. K. Legendre led in Aces with 4. Russell and H. Legendre each had 1 block. K. Legendre led in digs with 9.
On Oct. 13, the girls traveled to North Mac and won the match in two sets 25-15 and 25-14. K. Legendre led in kills with 10. Russell led in aces with 2. K. Legendre and Russell each had 2 blocks. H. Legendre led in digs with 12.
The Girls participated in the O'Fallon Tournament on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 14 and 15.
On Oct. 14, in pool play, the Staunton girls lost to O'Fallon (0-2); Then they defeated Highland (2-1); defeated Red Bud (2-0), and defeated Pekin (2-1). Their pool play record put them in the third place contest vs. Rochester. The Lady Bulldogs won this match 2-1 to win third place.
Breese Central won the championship defeating O'Fallon 2-0.
The girls complete their regular season play this week with matches at Gillespie on Oct. 20 and then compete in the Hamilton County Tournament in McLeansboro on Oct. 22.
The Lady Bulldogs will compete in the Illinois State Playoffs with their first match being scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 25, at the Hillsboro Regional. They will play the winner of the Hillsboro/Gillespie match played Oct. 24.
