The Staunton Bulldog football team broke into the win column when they traveled to Gillespie on Friday, Oct. 14 and defeated the Miners 27 - 12. The Miners scored first and last but in between, it was all Bulldogs.
With a little over 5 minutes left in the first quarter, Cody Ury ran in from the 4 yard line for Staunton's first TD. The Miners were able to block the PAT kick but the Bulldogs had tied the score at 6-6. Still in the first quarter, Ury completed a pass to Braden Buffington good for 27 yards and a second Bulldog TD. This time Cole Aberle's kick for the PAT was good and the Bulldogs...
