Bulldogs defense works to stop the run of the Cavies in front of a Homecoming crowd.
Staunton lost their Homecoming game to Carlinville 34 - 21 Friday night, Sept. 23. But - the Bulldogs gave their fans an exciting come back game after going down 21 points.
A completed pass to Cody Kapp followed by a Jacob Dillon run gave them a first & 10 on the 24. But a holding penalty put them back to 2nd & 20 when Carlinville intercepted a Bulldog pass. The Cavies had moved the ball to 2nd & goal when they scored their first TD and PAT to take the 7-0 lead. The Bulldogs turned the ball over on downs and the Cavies scored again giving them the 14-0 edge.
