SCC Women's Thursday League

Flag Day was enjoyed by the Stauanton Country Club Women's Thursday League. Weather cooperated with us and we had a good turnout. The low gross was the team of Sue Stiegemeier, Rosemarie Pickerill and Martha Riley. The low net was the team of Denise Hemphill, Kathryn Young and Linda Rohe. Three teams tied for low putts.

Special prizes went to Denise Hemphill for closest to the flag on #1, Linda Rohe for shortest drive on #9, Barb Augustine for closest chip to flag on #7 and Kathryn Young for longest drive on #8. Cynthia Tipler, Rosemarie Pickerill and Kathryn Young (2) all had birdies. Monetary awards were given to all of the above. We all enjoyed lunch at the club. Thank you to Denise Hemphill for the extraordinary desserts she made. Also, she decorated the dessert table.

Thank you to Pete for cooking and Amy Baker for decorating the table. It was a great day. We had a short business meeting and Rosemarie and Martha agreed to continue as president and treasurer. We will continue teeing off at 9 a.m.
