Staunton Fire Dept. asking for entries for anniversary logo

The Staunton Fire Department will be turning 100 years in 2023 and they need a new logo. They would like to use the new logo next year for stickers, T-shirts, truck decals, etc. Anyone in the community that would like to submit a design, please mail to: SFPD, 215 S. Wood St., Staunton, IL 62088.

All artwork needs to be submitted by Dec. 1, 2022, for consideration.

The fire department suggested the following guidelines for their new ogo design criteria.

Professional: This logo may be featured on websites, social media platforms and other mediums such as truck decals, patches, shirts, etc. As a result, while they want the logo to be eye catching, it must still be legible.

Theme: The logo must promote the 100th anniversary of the Staunton Fire Protection District.

Color: There are no limits and any colors may be used. However, the logo must look good in both color and/or black and white.

Integrity: Logos cannot contain copyrighted material. Logos must have been created and edited by the contestant. Logos may not include images or licensed images that have been previously published. Logos must be easily reproducible and scalable for both large and small formatting.

Nostalgia: The logo should celebrate the past as well as the future of the SFPD.

So get busy with your ideas and artwork and create a centennial logo for our Staunton Fire Protection District that they will be proud to display and wear. As noted previously, artwork must submitted by Dec. 1, 2022.
