Rensing

Norma Jean Rensing, 66, died Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, at Alhambra Care Nursing Home in Alhambra, Ill., from metastatic breast cancer. Norma was born on Dec. 6, 1955, in Highland. She was formerly a resident of Fairview Heights.

Always independent, strong, resourceful, Norma also had a great sense of humor. She loved to congregate with family and friends. Norma's unwavering faith in her heavenly Father is the foundation upon which she built her life. She served her Lord by volunteering at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fairview Heights, Illinois.

She is survived by her sisters, Jane Terrell, Eileen Rensing, Marilyn Rosemier, Roni Hanson, Judy Dudzik; brother, Paul Rensing; and nieces, nephews cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard "Ben" Rensing; her mother, Eugenia "Geni" (Rakers) Rensing; and brother, Arthur Rensing.

There will be no service. Norma's desire is to be cremated and have her ashes spread on the farm.

Memorials may be offered for masses to Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 505 Fountains Pkwy., Fairview Heights, IL 62208. Lesicko Funeral Home in Livingston was in charge of arrangements.
