Ronald R. Jackson, 64, died July 23, 2022. Born Oct.. 13, 1958, he was a son of the late Raymond and Irene Jackson of Williamson.
He was a graduate of Livingston High School. He had worked at Kemp Vesper’s gas station in Staunton during high school. Later he worked at Monterey Coal Company in Carlinville. He also worked as a partner at the Shell Station in Springfield and later at Ray & Ron’s Bait Shop in Keyesport. He then went to Kansas for training to pursue a career in truck driving. He was a semi driver for over 40 years. He enjoyed driving and being a competitor in the White City mud races. He also served as a trustee for the Village of Williamson. He loved country music, boating, fishing, hunting, camping and all his animals.
He is survived by a sister, LaVaughn (Dennis) Pavlotich of Livingston; a son, Ronald Raymond (Sarah) Arnold of Staunton; three grandsons, Aedeyn Zackari, Gabriel Scott and Asher Ray; a niece, Amy Jo (Kevin) Burch; two nephews, Kenneth Pavlotich and Denny (Kristen) Pavlotich, also several great-nieces and great-nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, Aug. 28, at 4:30 p.m. Please call 618-920-6485 (LaVaughn) for directions to the hall if you wish to attend. Your RSVP is needed by Aug. 19.
