The Staunton Helping Hands Center Kids Summer Food Program will be doing a drive-up donation collection this Saturday, July 23, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Staunton Helping Hands Center, 219 W. Main Street, in Staunton. This program provides a bag of extra food items for children each week through the summer.
Here are two ways you can help.
1. Donate from the list below, or 2. Make a monetary donation. Monetary donations can be dropped off that day at the drive-up or sent by check to SHHC, P.O. Box 111, Staunton, IL 62088. (*Be sure to designate your check is for Kids Program) or through their Venmo (Venmo@ stauntonhelpinghands).
A list of items they’re collecting at this time includes: Peanut butter, jelly, canned pasta, cereal bars, kids' cereal, Pop Tarts, syrup.
