• Larone C. Walton, 32, of Carlinville, faces four felony charges of aggravated battery, as well as two felony charges of domestic battery and two felony charges of resisting a peace officer after allegedly striking a family or household member in the head with a brick, fleeing the scene, shoving a peace officer into a door and striking another peace officer in the groin with his elbow on Monday, July 4.
• Deborah L. Geary, 44, of Edwardsville, faces felony charges of aggravated battery and aggravated unlawful use of weapons after allegedly striking a correctional officer in the groin with her foot and carrying an uncased, loaded and accessible hand gun in her vehicle on Monday, July 4. She was also cited for driving under the influence, failure to give information to owner after striking unattended vehicle or property, driving too fast for conditions/failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and transportation or possession of open alcohol by the driver at 10:47 p.m. Monday, July 4, on Rt. 159, just north of Miles Station Road in Bunker Hill Township.
• Traver J. Coleman, 39, of Divernon, faces a felony charge of unlawful possession of meth and two felony charges of aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer after allegedly refusing to stop and disobeying two traffic control devices at the intersections of Lincoln Ave. and Dye St. and Lincoln Ave. and Springfield St. in Virden on Tuesday, June 21.
• Isaiah M. Johnson, 18, of Girard, faces a felony charge of aggravated battery after allegedly striking another individual in the head in a public alleyway near the 100 block of E. Stoddard Ave. in Virden on or about Monday, June 20.
• Anita S. Ward, 44, of East Alton, faces two felony charges of unlawful delivery of meth after allegedly making a delivery of more than 10 grams, but less than 100 grams of substance to a member of the South Central Illinois Drug Task Force on Aug. 24, 2021, and Jan. 27, 2022.
• Daniel R. Gooding, 33, of Carlinville, was charged with criminal trespass to a motor vehicle being a 2002 Pontiac on Monday, July 4.
• Robert J. “B.J.” Bowman, 40, of Carlinville, was charged with obstructing a peace officer after allegedly closing a door to prevent a female from talking to an officer on Monday, July 4.
• Samantha J. Dailey, 35, of Brighton, was charged with violation of an order of protection after allegedly visiting a protected residence in Brighton on or about Wednesday, July 6.
• Lynne M. Vanneste, 35, of Litchfield, was charged with two misdemeanors of deceptive practices on March 5 and March 7, in Staunton.
• Joanna L. Deffenbaugh, 54, of Girard, was charged with reckless conduct after allegedly driving a 2005 Chrysler passenger car when an individual’s arm was stuck in the door and dragging the individual for a distance on or about Friday, July 1.
• Mark A. Schafer, 36, of Carlinville, operating a Central Core Company, LLC, not acting as a licensed automotive parts recycler or scrap processor, was charged with failure to keep electronic record of catalytic converter purchases after allegedly not keeping record for 54 purchased catalytic converters and purchasing of four unattached catalytic converters on or after May 27.
• Roy L. Glasco, 27, of Carlinville, was charged with battery after allegedly striking an individual in the head and nose, causing injury, on or about Thursday, June 16.
• Louis R. Smith, 43, of Divernon, was charged with disorderly conduct after allegedly engaging in a verbal altercation with an individual, causing her to attempt to flee, on Thursday, July 7.
