Staunton Helping Hands Center report

The Staunton Helping Hands Center would like to thank the volunteers and donors that continue to make the pantry a success. The SHHC would like to extend extra appreciation to the late Roxanne Gregory for all of her contributions to the center. Roxanne established the group "Staunton Cares" and took the lead in delivering pantry items to guests during the height of the pandemic when the elderly and disabled could not physically come to the pantry. Roxanne and her contributions will be greatly missed. Special memorials were received in Roxanne's honor from Mike and Connie Hemphill and Don and Shari Albrecht.

The Staunton Helping Hands Center is open on Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and Wednesdays from 5-7 p.m. Anyone with food insecurity in Macoupin County is able to come to the pantry for free food items. Guests are encouraged to visit the pantry first and then use SNAP benefits to "fill in the gaps" in order to stretch resources to the maximum. Donations can be received during pantry hours, sent to P.O. Box 111, or sent via Venmo to @stauntonhelpinghands.
