Ida Maryann Hendriksen, 106, of Mt. Olive, Ill., died at her daughter’s residence on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. Ida was born on Oct. 28, 1915, in Mt. Olive, the daughter of Otto Victor and Emilia Frances (Hartman) Kirback. She married Harold Hendriksen in April of 1948 in Chicago.

She attended Mt. Olive schools. She was employed at West Suburban Hospital, Mars Candy Factory, and Republic Drill & Tool, all in Chicago. She was also employed by the Secretary of State in Springfield. Ida was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive. In her younger days, she enjoyed going to movies, playing bingo and traveling with her daughter, Sandy, and her son-in-law, Jerry.

She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Jerry) Marburger; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Otto, and Ernest Kirback; and eight sisters, Ann Leitschuh, Marie Barry, Antoinette Baker, Hattie Reilly, Emma Anderson, Elizabeth Sheppard, and Cecelia Williams.

Funeral services were held at Zion Lutheran Church in Mt. Olive on Saturday, June 4. Burial was at Union Miners Cemetery in Mt. Olive.
