Historical Society Spring Festival

The Macoupin County Historical Society, the Macoupin Agricultural Antique Association and the Illinois Valley Blacksmith Association invite you to their annual Spring Festival on Saturday and Sunday, June 4 and 5, at 920 W. Breckenridge Sreet in Carlinville.

Festival days begin with breakfast in the Red Barn kitchen at 7:30 a.m. The Red Barn and the tractor club kitchen will both serve lunch beginning at 11 a.m. and continue until close at 4 p.m.

Live music will be provided at noon on both Saturday and Sunday. The Soul Rangers perform on Saturday and Jade Horton on Sunday.

The Anderson House will be open for tours beginning at 9 a.m. Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for a child and children 5 and under are free.

There is a country school, country church, country store, a firehouse, three large display buildings, a working blacksmith shop, a working print shop and a working sawmill. John Deere is the featured tractor and there will be tractor games.

Parking and admission to the grounds are free.
