Book signing at Benld library

Benld Public Library is hosting local author Ashley Sarver for a reading and book signing of her children's book Trax the Tractor & His Farming Friends on Saturday, May 21, at 10:30 a.m.

Ashley, a 2011 graduate of Gillespie High School, self-published Trax the Tractor & His Farming Friends in January 2022. It is her first published book.

"I grew up on a farm," Ashley said. "I saw first hand how much hard work and passion goes into farming. I think it is so important to share the farmer's story. I'm humbled to be able to share my book at the Benld Library with those from my hometown."

Trax the Tractor & His Farming Friends is a story about the love of farming, along with the challenges and hardships that come with it. The reader will see what a typical year looks like for a grain farmer in the Midwest. Trax and his farming friends overcome obstacles and always trust God to get them through the hard times.
