State playoffs

The IHSA has posted brackets for the State playoffs in softball, baseball, and soccer.

Softball

The Lady Bulldogs will get a first round bye and play their first game on Wednesday, May 18, at 4:30 p.m. in Vandalia. They will play the winner of Monday’s Greenville vs. Litchfield game. A win on the 18th advances them to the Vandalia Regional championship game on May 20. The Vandalia Regional champion will play the winner of the Alton (Marquette) Regional on May 25 at 4:30 p.m. in the Gillespie Sectional.

Baseball

The baseball Bulldogs will play Roxana at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 16, at Roxana. A win would advance them to play Columbia at 4 p.m. on May 18 at Alton (Marquette). A win on May 18 advances them to play for the Marquette Regional title on May 21 at 1 p.m. The winner of the Marquette Regional will play the Vandalia Regional winner on May 25 in the Teutopolis Sectional.

Soccer

The Lady Bulldogs soccer team was scheduled to play Greenville on Tuesday, May 10. If they won that game, they advanced and will play the winner of Monday’s Alton (Marquette) vs. Pana game at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 13, at Greenville. The winner of the Greenville Regional will play the North Mac Regional winner on May 17 with the winner advancing to the Quincy (Notre Dame) Sectional at 5 p.m. on May 20.
